Kaleidoscope
A new culinary experience has embraced the world. The Kaleidoscope brand exudes cultural-immersion and community through the exploration of ethnic foods. I designed this logo to reflect their seasonally changing menu and cultural ambiance.
Challenge
Kaleidoscope was a unique food experience in which every season, a new country and culture would be represented through food and change in restaurant ambiance. My challenge was to create a logo that would be able to reflect each unique culture while maintaining its cohesive brand.
Naming
I named the restaurant after a kaleidoscope, reflective of its changing patterns and colors, yet using the same shapes. I related this idea of changing patterns to the restaurant’s commitment to creating an international culinary experience. Same restaurant, but changing ethnic foods.
Illustration System
While the primary logo and tagline stayed consistent, the logo needed to be flexible in its use. Each country’s flag informed the color palette of each logo.
