Born in Queens. Raised in New Jersey. Heart in Baltimore. I am acquiring my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. My major is Graphic Design, with a concentration in Sustainability & Social Practice. I am interested in creating human-centered designs that activate social change. I believe that research and process are just as important as creating a beautiful design. The challenge, context, and the user should dictate the design process and aesthetic. Design is fluid.
My background includes studying International Business and Global Perspectives at Bentley University in Boston, Massachusetts. I spent a semester abroad at the University of Manchester in England. I have worked with clients and auditors at an international import and export company called Double Coin Holdings, LTD in Shanghai, China. While at the Department of Defense, I worked with logistics and data for Army radio kits, so troops overseas would be sustained in the field. While at MICA, I have worked closely with Samuel Hoi at the Office of the President. I am currently a freelance designer.
I enjoy working with local businesses, organizations, and my community to create a meaningful design. Design is a way to elicit an emotional response, a way to make a generation pick up a product that will do good for the Earth, a desire to use a platform that will change the rest of their life. Design is about creating an experience, not just a result.
